● A genuine interest in perpetuating the tradition and legacy of research at HBCUs
● Research of benefit to the African American community, the nation, and the world

● Double spaced, using APA style for citations

● Grammatically correct
● No more than ten, double-spaced pages
● Graphics should be clearly marked, with accompanying photos clearly marked in 300 dpi, if possible
● Font should be 12 point, times roman
● Spell checked
● Properly cited as per APA style for graphics, font, and citations
